Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases is seeking a Research Lab Tech I to investigate microbiome and immune mechanisms in neurologic disease models. You will administer treatments to mice, characterize behavior and pathology, and perform flow cytometry, ELISAs, DNA/RNA work, and bacterial culturing under supervision.

An ideal candidate has some lab experience; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with laboratory procedures and working with mice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers bacteria or immunomodulatory agents to animal models and handles mice.
• Operates Flow Cytometry and performs ELISA, RNA/DNA work, and PCR.
• Maintains mouse colonies, records strains and breeding, and keeps lab notes updated.
• Cultures bacteria from the microbiome and prepares samples per protocol.
• Maintains supplies and performs routine data recording and analysis.
