Job summary

Insight Institute of Neuroscience & Neurosurgery (IINN) in Flint, MI seeks a Medical Assistant under physician supervision to support patient care. You will take vital signs, assist with interviews, care processes, treatments, and transport as directed by the physician.

The MA works across clinical and administrative tasks, answering calls, obtaining authorizations, reminding patients, and entering data into the EMR.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor in healthcare/biology preferred
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and patient care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills
• Willingness to professional development and EMR familiarity

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and screen patients
• Perform data entry in the EMR
• Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality
• Disinfect and clean exam rooms between patients
• Assist physicians during exams
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Greet patients and provide courteous service
• Support administrative duties as needed
