Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking an RN for the Neuroscience unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for complex neurological and medical-surgical conditions. The role offers full-time night shifts with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to ongoing quality improvement.

You will provide direct nursing care, assess and plan care, involve patients and families, document, and pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Experience in a similar nursing role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in care, and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, document accurately.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Contribute to care improvement and participate in quality initiatives.
• Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person.
• Pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.
• Maintain required licensure and obtain unit-specific certifications.
