Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Neuroscience ICU. You will provide direct nursing care, assess and plan patient needs, and coordinate interdisciplinary care to improve outcomes for stroke, neuro trauma and post-surgical patients.

The role requires an RN license, BLS/ACLS, CVVHD training and TNCC/TCAR within specified timelines, with ICU experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with weekend and holiday expectations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications as required.
• CVVHD training and TNCC/TCAR certifications within stated timelines.
• ICU or acute care RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals and involve patients and families in plans of care.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administration of treatments and medications and documentation.
