Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse in Neuro Med Surg to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will advocate for patients and families, following established nursing models and hospital standards to ensure excellent outcomes.

You will assess patients at admission and during shifts, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families about the condition and treatment plan.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.
• Less than 1 year applicable experience.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, reporting changes.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide compassionate care and promptly respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
