Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital seeks a Neuro Med Surg Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to influence patient care through collaboration with direct managers and hospital councils. This role shapes decisions that elevate patient outcomes and nursing excellence.

The CNC ensures high-quality, patient-centered care, directs nursing activities, and serves as a resource for staff across the shift. A patient-first philosophy guides ongoing care improvements and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Less than 1 year applicable experience.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies to improve engagement, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training staff; implements courses of action including training, development, and performance management.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
