Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking a Neuro Med Surg Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to influence patient care and support nursing initiatives. The CNC directs care on the unit, collaborates with managers, and models the organization’s values to deliver outstanding outcomes.

The role involves coordinating admissions/discharges, staff development, scheduling, and inventory management while upholding a patient-first approach and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Active RN license in state(s) of practice or compact license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care on the unit during the shift.
• Coordinate admission, discharge, and throughput efficiently.
• Serve as a resource for staff and support management decisions.
• Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management per needs.
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee inventory control and supplies management.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) of practice

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
