Johns Hopkins Intrastaff in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Neuro Interventional Angio Radiology Tech to operate biplane Siemens Fluoro equipment in neuro interventions. The role features a rotating 4/10 schedule, with responsibilities spanning procedural radiography, dose management, and safety.

You will work within Johns Hopkins Health System, collaborating with top healthcare professionals while contributing to cutting-edge neuro procedures and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with a two-year technical college or associate degree in radiologic tech.
• ARRT certification (CV or VI) with current registration.
• Maryland radiography license required.
• BLS and ACLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment and imaging systems for procedures.
• Proficiently handle ancillary radiology equipment during cases.
• Utilize emergency equipment (defibrillator) during events.
• Minimize patient dose while preserving diagnostic image quality.
• Anticipate procedure needs and maintain radiation safety standards.
• Protect staff in the procedure room and educate on radiation exposure.
• Ensure films meet IRC/INR formatting guidelines.
• Review image quality after procedures and rectify as needed.
• Operate hemodynamic monitoring systems where applicable.
• Accurately input data into IRC/INR databases.

Pay Rate:

• $85.00 Per hour.

Responsibilities

• Consistently operates radiographic equipment and imaging systems as demonstrated by ability to perform required procedures.
• Proficiently operates all ancillary equipment as outlined in the developmental resume tool.
• Effectively and efficiently operates all emergency equipment such as defibrillator as demonstrated by participating in emergency events.
• Delivers minimal dose levels to the patient while still achieving diagnostic images. Consistently ensures physicians practice radiation safety and comprehends dose level parameters.
• Anticipates panning requirements, prior to physician’s requests. Collimates/filters in appropriate situations. Requires minimal input or direction from physicians.
• Ensures all staff in procedure room is properly protected and are educated in ionizing radiation standards. Provides instructions/suggestions related to methods of reducing team members’ radiation exposure levels.
• Ensures acquired films are formatted according to IRC/INR guidelines.
• Reviews formatted films to ensure image quality after each procedure.
• Takes appropriate action to rectify poor film quality. Seeks assistance to improve image quality or formatting skills when necessary.
• Competent to operate the hemodynamic monitoring systems where applicable.
• Complies with IRC/INR guidelines to ensure accurate input of information into database systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma with a two year technical college, an Associate Degree.
• ARRT (CV or VI) certified with current registration required.
• Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required.
• BLS & ACLS CPR certification required.
• At least one experience in Radiologic/Interventional Neuro procedures.
