Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• ARRT certification with current Maryland radiography license and CPR/ACLS.
• Experience in radiologic/interventional procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on radiographic procedure aspects and educate families.
• Prepare patients, place EKG electrodes, and position defibrillator pads.
• Prepare trays, maintain sterile technique, and ensure equipment readiness.
• Operate fluoroscopy, adjust dose, and maximize imaging safety.
• Monitor vitals, report changes to physician, and assist with procedures.
• Acquire images, archive, and input data into Paceart system.
• Perform QC on equipment and manage hemodynamic monitoring systems.

Pay Rate: $59.00 - $62.00 per hour (Based on experience).

• Counsels patients on the radiographic aspects of the procedures to be performed. Participates in the education process supplementing teaching given by physicians/nursing by informing patients, families/significant others about procedure specifics.
• Prepares patients for procedures including the accurate placement of EKG electrodes for monitoring of cardiac rhythm. Correctly places defibrillator pads.
• Utilizing sterile technique, prepares procedure trays, performs operating site preparation, drapes patient, and organizes instruments and supplies following established protocols.
• Operates fluoroscopy following established protocols and adjusts dose to maximize imaging while minimizing exposure to patients and clinical staff during procedure performance.
• Monitors patient vital signs during examination. Notifies attending physician of changes. Under the direction of the physician, demonstrates the ability to use bi‑phasic defibrillator to cardiovert or defibrillate patients to terminate lethal heart rhythms.
• Obtains images, archives specific images and manages back up of image data on radiology system. Enters data into Paceart as needed.
• Ensures proper operation of equipment. Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Performs equipment QC per manufacturers’ standards.
• Operates hemodynamic and electrophysiologic monitoring and stimulating equipment with minimal supervision. Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of complex procedure protocols for a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two‑year college or technical school program
• Prefer at minimum of at least one year experience in Radiologic / Interventional procedures or completed an advance imaging program
• ARRT certified with current registration required. Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians and current CPR and ACLS certification required.
