Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN for a night-shift position in Charlottesville, VA. A VA or compact license and Epic EMR experience are required to ensure seamless patient care in a 12-bed Neuro ICU.

Responsibilities include providing critical care management for neurologic and neurosurgical patients, maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, and adhering to stroke care protocols, CNS tumor cases, and post-surgical neuro care.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a 12-bed Neuro ICU with critical neurological and neurosurgical conditions
• Manage CNS tumors, spine cases, strokes, endovascular procedures, TBI and related conditions
• Maintain 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and night shift coverage 19:00–7:00
• 36 or 48 hour schedules available; every other weekend/holiday
• Perform floating within scope and provide respiratory, infection control and cardiac care
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
• Comply with facility policies and maintain high standards of patient safety
