Travel RN: Neuro ICU Night Shift (3x12)

Job summary

American Traveler is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a Neuro ICU travel assignment. The role requires a TX license or compact, 2 years ICU experience, and prior travel nursing experience. You will work a 3x12 night schedule in a mixed acuity Neuro ICU with 1:2 patient ratio, and Epic EMR familiarity is required.

Shift is nights, with potential weekend/holiday coverage. Assignment details include 13 weeks, lodging and meals may be included, and compensation is disclosed below.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU/PCU/Med-Surg experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required.
• TNCC preferred; military certifications accepted; AHA preferred.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• SSN, date of birth, and state ID required for consideration.
• Local candidates within 90 miles may be offered a lower rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for neurological patients including stroke and brain injury.
• Manage neuro interventions such as EVD, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocol.
• Ventilator management and respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC).
• Administer vasoactive meds, sedatives, and neuromuscular blockers as needed.
• Care for central/arterial lines and blood products; renal support as required.
• Monitor cardiac status and infection prevention protocols.
