Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Level 1 Trauma Neuro ICU in Phoenix, Arizona. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts and a 1:2 ICU nurse-to-patient ratio.

Active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years ICU experience with neuro skills are required. Travel experience and Cerner EMR familiarity are preferred. Travel and licensure reimbursements, day-one benefits, and intensive orientation are included.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with state or compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience in large hospital settings, with neuro skills and travel nursing background
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• At least 3–6 months prior travel nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a 32-bed Neuro ICU within a Level 1 Trauma acute care setting
• Care for critical patients with neurological diagnoses (post-craniotomy, brain tumors, brain biopsies, complex spine surgeries)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU; may float to Tele units (4:1)
• 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am), four weekends per four weeks, and holidays as assigned
• Float required to all ICU and Telemetry units; Cerner EMR in use
