American Traveler seeks an experienced RN to join a Cardiovascular ICU team in Phoenix, AZ. The assignment is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour night shifts. Requires AZ or compact RN license, 2+ years ICU experience, and CCS/CCR?N preferred.

Role includes float to telemetry and other ICUs as needed, with per-diem and travel reimbursements. The position offers comprehensive benefits starting day one, competitive pay, and a supportive team in a Level I trauma center.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, CVICU or Level I trauma preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
• Must pass basic or advanced dysrhythmia exam before offer (two attempts allowed).
• Strong IV skills; no IV team available.
• Must pass SIMs Lab skills assessment on orientation day one.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 24-bed CVICU within a Level I trauma center.
• Care for high-acuity patients including post-cardiac surgery, transplants, and complex cardiac procedures.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2; float to telemetry units as needed.
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Philips telemetry monitoring.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a) with weekend/holiday requirements.
• Float to other ICUs/telemetry units, including Westgate campus when needed.
• Participate in bedside procedures (bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz, epidurals).
• Adhere to sterile technique; complete pass/fail testing on day one.
