Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required and Illinois RN license.
• Illinois RN license required; BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess data, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill neuro-ICU patients.
• Direct care and determine appropriate use of assistants in patient care.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians, and staff; document care decisions and plans.
• Participate in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust plans accordingly.
• Apply evidence-based practice to guide clinical decisions.
