Job summary

Mount Carmel East’s Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) seeks an RN to care for highly acute neuro patients in a level-1 stroke center setting. The RN will practice under the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, delivering patient-centered care with a focus on safety, evidence-based practice, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include care delivery, care planning with families, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Current license as Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience required.
• New grads with <1 year clinical experience enroll in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates care for an assigned group, collaborates with patient and family to develop a plan of care.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes per standards and policies.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
