Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced RN for our 10-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU). You will deliver direct nursing care to patients recovering from strokes, neurotrauma and neurosurgery, focusing on comfort, sedation, mobility, and safety.

Shift is nights 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with every other weekend and 3 holidays. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, develop care plans with patients and families, document outcomes, and participate in

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state of Ohio (or current state license with ability to transfer).
• BLS certification required; ACLS within first year of employment.
• ICU/stepdown/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in NSICU.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for neuro patients.
• Document progress and discharge goals with patients and families.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care and advocate for patient safety.
• Maintain certifications and participate in quality improvement.

Education

ADN or BSN

RN License

BLS (AHA or Red Cross)

ACLS within 1 year

CVVHD training

TNCC within 1 year

TCAR within 24 months

ICU Stepdown/CC RN experience
