Job summary
The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) at Mount Carmel East has 16 beds. The Registered Nurse (RN) would expect to see the highest acuity neuro patients in the health system while working on this unit.
The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, provides care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates in the spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the delivery of patient care per the
Qualifications
- Graduate from school of nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Casual RNs require 2 years of experience.
- New graduate nurses with less than one year are enrolled in Nurse Residency Program.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care.
- Communicate pertinent information to the team in a timely manner.
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes per standards.
- Assume responsibility for care provided and documented by others.
