Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Neuro-ICU for full-time night shifts. You will provide expert acute care to critically ill patients, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold ANA standards of nursing practice.

Requirements include a BSN (or ADN with BSN plan), IL RN license, BLS, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to collaborate. Preferred ICU experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of employment
• Current IL Registered Professional Nurse license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Strong analytical abilities

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, plans individualized nursing care, coordinates care delivery
• Directs care and utilization of nursing assistants as needed
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff, documenting the plan of care
• Participates in governance, committees and unit projects
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and adjusts the plan accordingly
• Uses evidence to guide practice decisions
