Qualifications

• BSN degree and at least 1 year of RN experience.
• Competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or equivalent experience.
• TX RN license at time of hire.
• CPR certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: perform admission and ongoing assessments, address physical, psychological and spiritual needs, notify physician of changes.
• Planning: design, direct and document care plans and discharge planning with input from the care team.
• Implementation: prepare patients for treatments, report significant changes, follow safety and medication protocols.
• Evaluation: reassess after interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Report Skills: transfer comprehensive bedside reports to the incoming shift for continuity.
