Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Texas seeks an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to influence patient care through collaborative relationships and participation in hospital councils and national initiatives. The NCCU handles critically ill neurological patients, with certification opportunities and bonuses for maintaining neuroscience credentials.

You will provide specialized nursing care, engage in comprehensive assessments, and contribute to outcomes in a high-acuity neuroscience unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• One (1) year of critical care experience preferred.
• Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing judgment through a thorough, systematic approach to the nursing process.
• Collaborates with the patient care team and communicates SBAR to coordinate patient needs.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and prioritizes tasks to maintain orderly patient flow.
• Maintains safety and quality in a high-acuity NCCU environment.
