Job summary

Methodist Hospital Texsan’s Cardiac ICU seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a 30-bed unit focused on cardiovascular surgical care. You'll deliver high-quality, safe nursing care in a state-of-the-art ICU and collaborate closely with a supportive patient-care team.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, adherence to the nursing process, and ongoing professional development within a nationally recognized, award-winning unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• One (1) year of critical care experience as a licensed Registered Nurse preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
