Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or active in Nurse Residency program.
• Minimum 2 years critical care nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred; NIHSS certification preferred; national certification preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within 3 years.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards.
• Communicate with patients and health-care team about status and plans.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation tech.
• Document care at point of care for assessments and plans.
• Provide patient/family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge patients securely ensuring safe transition of care.
