Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Jersey Shore University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research, policies and standards of care to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plans of care and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Discharging patients to ensure a safe transition and continuum of care.
