Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in delivering patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Neurosciences ICU environment. The PCT will perform multi-skilled activities to support the care team and ensure quality outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include supporting rotating 12-hour shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, and adherence to BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year work experience in a .6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
• Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited institution is desirable.
• Active enrollment in a healthcare related field from an accredited institution is desirable.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution is preferred.

Education

1 year of experience in a healthcare facility
