The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and the Nurse Manager. This role involves multi-skilled tasks to help achieve outcomes in a decentralized care model.

Shifts are rotating 12-hour blocks, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday coverage. The position is hourly with requirements for BLS within 2 weeks of hire and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• For Technician II: requires either an Associate or Bachelor's degree, or at least 1 year work experience in a .6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS, or 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility, or active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited institution, or active enrollment in a healthcare related field, or CNA or CMA certification.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS within 2 weeks of hire and maintained thereafter (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED).
