Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a decentralized, patient-centered approach under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will perform multi-skilled activities to assist in achieving desired outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Hours are 36 per week with rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, and you must obtain/maintain BLS within 2 weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for PCT I.
• For PCT II, must meet 24 hours/week or greater and ONE of the listed requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 2 weeks of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Support patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform multi-skilled activities to assist in patient care.
• Work 3 x 12-hour rotating shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate or Bachelor's degree

1 year of experience in a healthcare facility

Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals

Active enrollment in a healthcare related field from an accredited institution

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification

Certified Medical Assistant Certification
