True North Consultants, Inc. partners with a premier hospital in Illinois to recruit a Neuro-Hospitalist for a full-time, 7-on/7-off schedule in Mattoon.

This inpatient role offers a guaranteed salary with night telemedicine support and a low patient census in a stroke-ready facility. You will provide inpatient neurological consultations, lead the on-duty neuro-hospitalist services, cover ED daytime hours, and collaborate with a teleneurology service for after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Neurology residency completed.
• BC/BE in Neurology.
• Illinois license or immediate eligibility.
• Active DEA registration.
• Ability to work independently as primary inpatient specialist.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurological consultations and acute care management in a stroke-ready hospital.
• Lead inpatient neuro-hospitalist services as solo on-duty provider during scheduled block.
• Cover ED consultations daytime 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
• Utilize a round-and-go model; depart campus after rounds, return for acute events until 7:00 PM.
• Coordinate with night telemedicine service covering 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
