Job summary

The Kriegstein lab at UCSF is seeking a motivated Staff Research Associate to contribute to cutting-edge functional genomics research using CRISPR libraries and single-cell technologies in human primary cells. The SRA will prepare lentiviral vectors, handle human tissues, perform infections, conduct FACS, and prepare 10x Genomics single-cell libraries, working under the PI in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

CRISPR/Lentiviral Work: Prepare lentiviral vectors for CRISPR library applications; perform lentiviral infection of cultured cells.
Handling of Human Primary Tissues: Perform handling of human primary tissues, including tissue dissociation and cell culture of primary cells under appropriate conditions; perform fluorescence‑activated cell sorting (FACS).
Library Preparation: Prepare single‑cell sequencing libraries using the 10x Genomics platform.
Maintain stocks, reagents, laboratory equipment, perform other duties as assigned, keep notes about experiments updated.
