Job summary

Exceed Medical is seeking a Neuro Intensivist Advanced Practitioner (APP) to independently and collaboratively care for acutely ill patients in the neuro‑intensive care unit. The APP will work with EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, and neurosurgery teams to deliver comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP, ACNP, or PA, with an NPI and DEA, BLS/ACLS/ENLS, and preferably neuro‑critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified and licensed as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
• Must have NPI, or obtain NPI prior to start date and meet Medicare billing requirements.
• Must hold current DEA registration for schedules 2–5 and state prescribing authority.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ENLS.
• Preferred at least 1 year in neuro-critical care as NP/PA or neuro ICU as RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in the neuro-intensive care unit as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, and neurosurgery/neuro-interventional teams.

Job Summary:

The Neuro Intensivist Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) is a certified, licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant who independently and collaboratively works with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and/or medically complex patients in the neuro-intensive care unit. Our multidisciplinary team includes dedicated EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, dedicated fellowship trained neuro-intensivist physicians who work closely with neurosurgery and neuro‑interventional teams.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a board certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Must have National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain NPI, prior to employment start date and meet current Medicare requirements for billing.
• Must hold current DEA Registration with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 and State issued prescribing authority.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Emergency
• Neurological Life Support (ENLS).
• Preferred experience of working at least one (1) year in the neuro‑critical care setting as a NP or PA or neuro ICU experience as a RN.
