Job summary

Exceed Medical in Plano, TX seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) to deliver expert neuro ICU care alongside a multidisciplinary team.

You will work night shifts, with some weekend nights and on-call shifts, in a full-time role, providing independent and collaborative care to acutely ill patients.

Qualifications

• Must be board-certified and licensed as AGACNP/ACNP or PA.
• Must have National Provider Identifier (NPI) or obtain prior to start date.
• Must hold DEA registration for schedules 2–5 and state prescriber authority.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ENLS certifications.
• Preferred neuro-critical care experience in NP/PA role.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to acutely ill neuro ICU patients.
• Collaborate with EEG services and neurology consultants as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Independently manage patient care during night shifts and on-call periods.

Job Summary:

The Neuro Intensivist Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) is a certified, licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant who independently and collaboratively works with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and/or medically complex patients in the neuro-intensive care unit. Our multidisciplinary team includes dedicated EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, dedicated fellowship trained neuro-intensivist physicians who work closely with neurosurgery and neuro-interventional teams.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a board certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Must have National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain NPI, prior to employment start date and meet current Medicare requirements for billing.
• Must hold current DEA Registration with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 and State issued prescribing authority.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Emergency
• Neurological Life Support (ENLS).
• Preferred experience of working at least one (1) year in the neuro-critical care setting as a NP or PA or neuro ICU experience as a RN.
