Job summary

Exceed Medical is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensivist Advanced Practitioner (APP) to independently and collaboratively care for acutely ill patients in the CVICU. The role requires board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP, Acute Care NP, or PA/PA-C, with an active NPI and DEA registration.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive ICU care in a multidisciplinary team, maintaining BLS/ACLS, and CVICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be board-certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) or secure one prior to employment and comply with current Medicare billing requirements.
• Current DEA Registration is required for schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5, along with appropriate state-issued prescribing authority.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory.
• Preferred: A minimum of one year of CVICU experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• The Cardiovascular Intensivist Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) works with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and medically complex patients in the CVICU.
• Provides independent and collaborative care, ensuring timely interventions and optimal patient outcomes.
• Participates in ongoing education, quality improvement, and teamwork to support exceptional patient care.

Qualifications:

• Must be a board-certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) or secure one prior to the commencement of employment and comply with current Medicare billing requirements.
• Current DEA Registration is required for schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5, along with appropriate state-issued prescribing authority.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory.
• Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience in a cardiovascular critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.
