Job summary

UNC Health Care System in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks a Clinical Support Technician II (Nursing Assistant II + clerical) for the Acute Neuroscience unit. This 36-hour-per-week position features 12-hour day shifts (7am–7:30pm) with weekend and holiday rotation and a comprehensive benefits package with PTO accrual.

You will assist clinicians, transport patients and equipment, maintain rooms, and perform clerical duties including data entry and PI audits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
Listed as Nursing Assistant I and licensed as Nursing Assistant II by NC DHHS; BLS certification.
Requires one year of clerical or customer service experience and three months nursing assistant experience.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians and other providers with routine exams and equipment procurement.
Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to a nurse or physician.
Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review orders, transcribe orders, and maintain records.
Provide administrative support including PI audits and data entry.
Provide clinical support: clean area, troubleshoot equipment, transport patients and supplies, and aid orientation.
Provide direct personal care per plan: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, vital signs.
Reinforce patient education and distribute materials.
