Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Network Administrator to manage WAN/LAN wireless networks, internet connectivity, and telecom systems. You will ensure proper installation, integration, security, and maintenance with regular upgrades and replacements.

Job description

Position Summary

Manage Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) wireless network, internet connectivity and telecommunications systems. Ensure that all systems are properly installed, integrated, secured and maintained and kept current through regular upgrades and equipment replacement. Provide the technical expertise necessary to support network services, telecommunications, servers, cloud services and related applications.

Qualifications

1. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Strong knowledge of network technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless networking, VPNs, firewalls, Windows, macOS,Linuxand mobile devices.
3. Knowledge and experience in the management of LANs, WANs, wireless networks, internet services, servers, cloud services,virtualizationand telecommunications systems. Relevant technical certifications are preferred.
4. Knowledge of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), telephone systems, and emergency communications.
5. A minimum of four years of experience supporting and integrating computers, servers, network equipment, wireless devices, and related systems in a networked environment.
