- Support Peraton's initiative to move a client's existing software and applications to a Microsoft Azure cloud-based environment
- Review software currently in use
- Help set up and configure the new environment
- Establish processes for ongoing environment management
- Support ongoing maintenance after the new environment is operational
- Conduct discovery of software, applications, systems, and networks using automated scanning, discovery, and validation tools
- Query and extract asset data from Active Directory, SCCM/Endpoint Manager, and ServiceNow CMDB
- Perform gap analysis against existing documentation and baselines
- Identify vulnerabilities, non-compliant configurations, and redundant or duplicate assets
- Support publication of the baseline inventory and participate in continuous validation cycles
- Assist with environment build-out, migration, and transition activities under senior direction
- Assist with mapping and documenting the bi-directional intelligence-sharing model
Requirements
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience in IT/Network Engineering, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity; an additional 4 years will be considered in lieu of the bachelors degree
- Possess, or ability to obtain prior to start, and maintain one of the listed industry certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, or SNOW App Dev
- Hands-on experience with network/asset discovery tools such as Nmap, Spectr, GhostCrew, or Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS
- Practical experience querying/extracting data from Active Directory and/or a CMDB
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration, including patch levels, service inventories, and configuration review
- Basic understanding of security baseline standards such as NIST and CIS benchmarks
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall rule analysis, and common ports/protocols
- Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams and network topology maps
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Scripting ability in PowerShell or Python
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Resource Manager structure
- Experience supporting federal or Department of State IT environments
- Familiarity with Power Platform, Databricks, or similar enterprise tools
- Active Secret security clearance
