Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking a full-time instructor for Computer Information Systems – Networking specialization. This role involves developing curricula, delivering classroom instruction, and coordinating with advisory committees to align with industry needs.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/CIS, a CCAI credential, and ability to teach across multiple campuses. Master’s degree and LMS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems with relevant coursework (18 CIS hours).
• CCAI credential required to teach Cisco networking courses.
• Must be credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for courses assigned.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and LMS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technology courses.
• Develop syllabi to meet program and school objectives.
• Evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Request and maintain supplies and equipment, and prepares required budget requests as requested.
• Maintain program certification requirements, as appropriate.
• Assist with program recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
• Participate in bi-annual program industry advisory committee meetings.
• Coordinate with advisory committees to review curriculum and equipment needs.
