Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Network Engineer (Testing) to support ANG F-16 MTTr simulators in Mesa, AZ. You will design and plan testing for network systems, provide schematics for testing network architecture, and develop network test plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining multi-user systems, coordinating with admins, and implementing security standards with STIGs. Travel is required as part of job duties.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 3 years with Masters in related field; 0 years with PhD or JD; or HS diploma with 9 years relevant experience.
• Must have a current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, SSCP, or GSEC)
• Experience implementing and supporting Windows-based operating systems
• Basic understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
• Experience configuring software, modifying software configuration and performing basic configuration management IAW with STIGs and cybersecurity requirements
• Experience analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting packets using Wireshark, DPA, or similar tools
• Must be a US citizen
• Must hold a current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance and maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems; coordinate with sysadmins and technicians.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products; recommend hardware/software purchases; coordinate installation.
• Develop and monitor policies & standards for computing resources.
• Design, install, support and maintain Windows servers/clients in Citrix Provisioning Services environment, RHEL VMs, and peripherals.
• Configure software and perform basic configuration management per STIGs/Cybersecurity requirements.
• Plan for and respond to trouble tickets.
• Collaborate on flight simulator software integration to meet mission requirements.
• Provide software support for office automation and simulation tools.
