Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on integrating hardware and software from product teams to support I&T events and system development.

You will coordinate cross-functional activities, configure systems, support flight test events, and develop ATPs while acting as a technical liaison with customers. A security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• 10+ years in test/integration, product or systems engineering.
• Experience integrating hardware and software.
• Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Python or equivalent tooling for data analysis.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 20–40%.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute hardware/software integration into system architecture.
• Assemble and integrate items at sub-assembly, assembly, and platform levels.
• Configure systems via software settings and firmware loading.
• Integrate systems onto airborne, ground, and maritime platforms.
• Verify network connectivity (IP, switches, routers, protocols).
• Support troubleshooting during integration (mechanical, electrical, software).
• Support integration and flight-test events (pre-test, on-site checkout, data collection).
• Develop ATPs to verify delivered systems meet requirements.
• Serve as technical liaison across hardware and software teams.
• Act as customer-facing point of contact during events.
• Collaborate with product teams on design reviews and test planning.
• Support prototype integration and rapid fielding; deliver training materials.
