The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Network/Telecommunications Specialist. The incumbent under the direction of the Technical Services Supervisor performs a wide variety of highly specialized, campus-wide, technical support in the design, installation, and maintenance of an integrated voice/data/video telecommunications utility, local area networks and wide area networks, including the Internet. Responsible for coordinating the operation and maintenance of the utility, and developing plans for the implementation of new applications to meet changing voice, data and video communication needs. Supports Windows, Server, Windows Client, Macintosh, Unix, electronic mail, telephone, voice mail, switch/router systems. May act as a lead and coordinate work teams comprised of lab technicians, student workers and faculty.

$35.18 - $44.00 Hourly
$6,098 - $7,626 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($35.18 per hour) or B ($37.21 per hour) on the salary schedule.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Increasingly responsible experience in the field of telecommunications, networks/network management, and computer science.
