Job summary
A leading global technology firm is seeking a Technician - Network in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data communications, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with various networking tools. Responsibilities include racking, stacking, cabling, and troubleshooting network devices, as well as supporting inventory management and facilities efforts. This is a full-time position with multiple shifts required for 24/7 coverage.
Qualifications
Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.
Requires experience working in communications closets.
Understand cable patching processes and procedures.
Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues.
Must be familiar with Cisco and Avaya phones.
Responsibilities
Patching cabling between network equipment and customer's network.
Installation and troubleshooting of network equipment.
Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure.
Perform data, voice, and security testing.
Support inventory management activities.
