Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Network Technician to provide frontline support by opening tickets and guiding network issues. The role requires clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to convey complex information simply.

You will respond to partner requests within SLAs, perform basic Tier 1 configuration changes on remote client devices, and document changes. Occasional night/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of networking experience or current Network+ / PCNA or equivalent certification.
• Novice level understanding of OSI Layers 1-3.
• Novice level understanding of wireless local area networks.
• Experience supporting customer environments in a helpdesk/support capacity.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrates professionalism in interactions and personal presentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fanatical attention to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization.
• Availability nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation of existing systems as changes are made.
• Perform firmware updates on remote client systems.
• Escalate support requests to Tier 2, or reroute to the correct team as needed, with detailed notes regarding the initial request and actions taken.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is goal-oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results. The position will require someone who can provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

• Apply basic tier 1 configuration changes to remote client systems – wireless access points, switches and firewalls.
• Maintain documentation of existing systems as changes are made.

YOU MUST HAVE:
