Job summary

MFA Oil Company seeks a Systems Administrator (Network) to support server/storage infrastructure and network-focused platforms across a wide geographic footprint. You will install, configure, back up, secure, and tune networks, while providing Service Desk support and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote administration, project tracking, and after-hours availability in a dynamic, service‑oriented role. Travel up to 50% is required; a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT support/repair experience.
• Basic knowledge of networking systems (topologies, routing, switching, firewalls, protocols).
• Basic knowledge of network security concepts (Segregation, isolation, compliance).
• Detail-oriented with a focus on processes and workflows.
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building.
• Ability to accept accountability and work with moderate supervision.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic administration of network and communication systems including installation, configuration, backups, security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide basic technical support to Service Desk as needed.
• Assist vendors supporting Engineering needs.
• Provision, maintain, and support infrastructure hardware, software, and tooling.
• Travel to remote sites or training as needed, up to 50% travel.
• On-site and remote administration, implementation, and management of distributed systems.
• Coordinate, track, and report progress of work assignments and projects.
• Maintain a schedule of after-hours emergency call availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
