Job summary

Meridian Group International, Inc. is seeking a Network Services Engineer to support customers in a Chicago metro area hybrid role.

You will work with Senior Engineers to implement end‑to‑end networking solutions, manage lifecycle activities from onboarding to decommission, and maintain thorough documentation. The role focuses on delivering secure, reliable network infrastructure, collaborating with customers and Meridian managers, and escalating complex issues when needed.

Qualifications

1 year+ professional networking experience required.
Ability to troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN connectivity independently.
Experience with layer 2/3 concepts and device CLI.

Responsibilities

Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the customer’s network infrastructure.
Independently perform basic to intermediate LAN/WAN troubleshooting and configuration.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and related services.
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Assist with network upgrades, hardware replacements, software upgrades, and change management.
