Job summary

Noblis is seeking a TIS Security Engineer to support FAA Telecommunications and Integrated Services, applying security architecture to harden NAS environments. You will analyze network designs, review configurations, and guide implementation of Zero Trust, SD‑WAN, and defense‑in‑depth controls in complex, safety‑critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government programs, ideally within FAA or transportation sector.
• Hands-on network engineering or architecture; strong boundary protection design and configurations.
• Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, WAN/LAN environments.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 rev 5.
• Ability to evaluate security concepts for large-scale, safety-critical systems like NAS.
• Ability to advise on defense-in-depth architectures, Zero Trust, SD-WANs, emerging tech.
• Experience collaborating with engineers, PMs, and cybersecurity stakeholders for ATO packages and continuous monitoring.
• Ability to develop system security plans, risk assessments, and related docs.
• U.S Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (3+ years U.S. Residency)
• Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and guiding network architecture to ensure cybersecurity built in from ground up.
• Hands-on reviews of system configs, firewalls, and network paths to align with standards.
• Leading transitions (IPv4 to IPv6, microwave refreshes) from security and architecture perspective.
• Supporting Zero Trust, SDN, and defense-in-depth strategies in enterprise solutions.
• Acting as a bridge between FAA cyber stakeholders and infrastructure providers.
• Evaluating vendor architectures and making expert recommendations based on policy and best practices.
