Job summary

Noblis seeks a highly technical Security Engineer to advance network architecture, security engineering, and compliance across FAA environments. The role emphasizes federal standards (NIST 800-53, FISMA) and Zero Trust, with hands‑on review and architecture governance.

You will collaborate with system engineers, program managers, and cybersecurity stakeholders to support ATO packages, risk assessments, and security documentation in complex, safety‑critical NAS contexts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government programs, ideally FAA or transportation sector.
• Hands‑on network engineering or architecture with boundary protection design.
• Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 and WAN/LAN environments.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 rev 5.
• Ability to evaluate security concepts for safety‑critical NAS environments.
• Experience advising on Zero Trust, SD‑WANs, and related technologies.
• Collaborates with system engineers, PMs, and cyber stakeholders on ATO.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and guide network architecture to bake cybersecurity in from the ground up.
• Review system configurations, firewall rules, and network paths for compliance.
• Lead transitions (IPv4 to IPv6, microwave refreshes) from a security viewpoint.
• Support integration of Zero Trust, SDN, and defense‑in‑depth strategies.
• Serve as technical bridge between FAA cyber stakeholders and providers.
• Evaluate vendor architectures and provide expert recommendations per policy.
