Job summary

Jefferson is seeking a Network Analyst to monitor and troubleshoot our enterprise network, ensuring security standards and reliable service. You will work with senior analysts to validate solutions, maintain documentation, and optimize monitoring practices across Layer 2/3.

The role involves analyzing performance, applying minor configuration changes, and supporting upgrade activities to improve resilience and continuity of service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related work experience.
• Strong command of networking principles and enterprise architectures.
• Knowledge of VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, and routing protocols like EIGRP/OSPF.
• Proficient in using CLI to diagnose and configure network devices.
• CompTIA Network+ Certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate operational alerts and degradations, fine-tune monitoring parameters and apply minor adjustments to sustain optimal network health.
• Address routine connectivity issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3 with timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
• Carry out approved configuration updates, compile performance metrics, and maintain records of changes and system states.
• Organize recurring operational findings and assist with upgrade activities to enhance system resilience.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to validate actions and uphold security and compliance standards.
