Nelnet is seeking an entry-level IT helpdesk professional to support the Enterprise Network team. The role involves monitoring queues, providing on-call support, and maintaining monitoring tools to ensure smooth operations.

Candidates should have an Associate's degree in Information Science or related field and basic knowledge of networks and security principles. The position emphasizes clear communication with technical and non-technical clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical helpdesk or end-user technical support role.
• Knowledge of network and security principles at an entry level.
• Familiarity with reading firewall rule policies and troubleshooting connectivity.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and manage operational and intake queues during business hours for the Enterprise Network team.
• Provide Oncall operational support during normal business hours for the Enterprise Network team.
• Manage and monitor network monitoring tools.
• Look to automate or "shift left" repeatable or routine functions as possible.
• Create or maintain knowledge base articles and supporting documentation to support training and job responsibilities.
