Job summary

NTG is seeking a Network Administrator (JNY) to support SOCCENT network operations at MacDill Air Force Base. The role monitors, administers, troubleshoots, secures, and maintains LAN/WAN infrastructure in accordance with Government policies.

Responsibilities include triage, incident escalation, upgrades, configuration validation, and maintaining technical documentation. You will use enterprise monitoring, cybersecurity, identity, and zero-trust tools to sustain reliable network operations;

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoW 8140 compliant for Work Role Code 441 – Network Operations Specialist at Intermediate or higher.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
• CCNA certification required.
• Six years of relevant experience with a HS diploma; more with higher degrees.
• Strong written and oral communication; customer-service oriented.
• Proactive and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Monitor LAN/WAN equipment, circuits, and links using enterprise tools.
• Perform initial triage, troubleshoot, and escalate issues as needed.
• Serve as technical specialist for network problems and emergencies.
• Support network operations, security, and monitoring via IDS, firewalls, VPNs.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering on design analysis and configuration validation.
• Maintain network documentation, CMDB, diagrams, inventories, and topologies.
• Document hardware failures, repairs, installations, and ticket resolutions.
• Coordinate and implement network software and hardware upgrades.
• Represent USSOCOM and interface with vendors for support issues.
