Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Network Operations Manager to join the Legrand Corporate Team. This is a remote position.
Reporting directly to the Americas Regional Director, Infrastructure Service Delivery, the Network Operations Manager for the Americas will oversee all aspects of network operations within the AM region.
This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in network management, adept at leading teams, and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure. The Network Operations Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and support partners to optimize network performance, implement strategic initiatives, and support network incidents and projects.
The Network Operations Manager will coordinate the delivery and execution of regional infrastructure services and operations for Legrand in the Americas. The primary focus is to ensure timely resolution of incidents brought to Level 2, and to implement approved changes where applicable. This includes accountability for driving resolution of major incidents during crisis mode, deployment, and compliance with established infrastructure standards, regulations, and security policies of the existing regional IT infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Network Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure across the Americas in line with Legrand standards.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of network systems.
- Manage the validation of new Network Infrastructure transitioning from project to operations.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Deploy strategic IT projects and assist in scoping, planning, and deployment of local network projects related to upscaling, site movements, obsolescence, etc.
- Evaluate and manage the contractual operational performance and service delivery of the NOC partner.
- Participate and present deliverables and KPI adherence in steercos for domain governance clarity.
- Manage the contract for the America region’s data circuits, including SLA management.
- Oversee Asset Management of network infrastructure inventory in the America region.
- Coordinate activities to maintain network infrastructure asset availability and incident/problem resolution.
- Track, forecast, and report the network operations expenses versus budget.
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians.
- Provide technical guidance, promote skill development, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and support career growth for team members.
- Use persuasion, influence, reporting, and diplomacy in a matrixed environment.
- Maintain a customer service mindset with an emphasis on getting the job done.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and proactivity, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Communications, Engineering, or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in network operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong customer focus, with an emphasis on getting the job done.
- High energy level, comfortable managing multifaceted projects alongside day-to-day activities.
- Excellent influencing, analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player capable of working effectively in a matrix organization across departments and regions.
- Excellent communication, data analytics, and presentation skills; able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Business proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Conversational proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in network protocols, technologies, and infrastructure components.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience in network operations and incident troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience working in an ITIL-focused support organization with incident, problem, change, and capacity management processes.
