Job summary

Technium, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer L1 to join our Network and Security Operations Center. You will identify and resolve incidents in customer environments, leveraging strong networking and security fundamentals across switching, routing, and next-generation firewalls.

This role requires teamwork, initiative, and adaptability, with on-call duties and a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Massachusetts or surrounding regions are preferred, and occasional travel may be required to support

Qualifications

• Technical skills in Switching, Routing, and Next-Generation Firewalls including Cisco, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto.
• Ability to work independently to resolve incidents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and teamwork.
• Willingness to on-call, night/weekend responsibilities.
• Occasional travel for training or conferences.

• Contribute directly to Technium’s mission of building and operating exceptional, secure networks.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and leadership to deliver reliable results for customers.
• Take initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and follow through to completion.

• Follow all Network Operation Engineer policies, processes, and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers as needed.
• Attend regular trainings and work toward development goals.
• On-call duties during non-duty hours as needed.
