Job summary

Phoenix Staff seeks a hands-on Network Operations Center (NOC) Supervisor to lead a technical team responsible for monitoring, supporting, and maintaining critical network infrastructure. This on-site role in Phoenix requires excellence in leadership and incident response to ensure high availability.

You will coach staff, coordinate changes, monitor performance, and partner with IT leaders to meet business needs. Evening/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressively responsible IT or network experience in a NOC or related environment.
  • Solid knowledge of network operations, LAN/WAN technologies, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop technical team members.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Availability to work outside standard business hours when necessary (evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the NOC team, including staffing, performance management, coaching, goal setting, and employee development.
  • Direct daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and support activities across LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
  • Guide the investigation and resolution of network incidents, outages, and service disruptions.
  • Support network installations, deployments, upgrades, backup activities, and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Analyze incident and problem reports to identify recurring issues, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Oversee network hardware and software assets, licensing, inventory, and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Partner with IT leadership on change management activities, ensuring network changes align with policies and standards.
  • Contribute to annual operating and capital budget planning.
  • Coordinate network vendor relationships and monitor costs.
  • Evaluate evolving network technologies and practices to improve operations.
  • Develop and implement processes that increase NOC efficiency, consistency, and service quality.
  • Track team and network performance metrics and recommend improvements.

Title: Network Operations Center (NOC) Supervisor

Location: Phoenix, AZ — On-Site

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 annually

Position Overview

Phoenix Staff is seeking a hands‑on Network Operations Center (NOC) Supervisor to lead a technical team responsible for monitoring, supporting, and maintaining critical network infrastructure. This position combines day‑to‑day technical involvement with people leadership, overseeing NOC operations while helping the team troubleshoot network issues, strengthen processes, and maintain a reliable, secure, and highly available environment.

The NOC Supervisor will coach and develop technical staff, coordinate network changes and improvements, monitor operational performance, and partner with other IT leaders to support business needs. This is an on‑site position in Phoenix and may require availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the NOC team, including staffing, performance management, coaching, goal setting, and employee development.

  • Solid knowledge of network operations, LAN/WAN technologies, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop technical team members.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Ability to remain effective when addressing time‑sensitive incidents and operational issues.
  • Availability to work outside standard business hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable pre‑employment background screening.
  • Equivalent combinations of relevant education, training, and professional experience may be considered.
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within an IT or network operations environment.
  • Experience supporting teams in a NOC or technical call center setting.
  • Familiarity with network change management, disaster recovery, asset lifecycle management, and vendor coordination.
